well I am officially back to my daily grind now but I did remember to bring my cup to the office today so I can have some coffee... I can't thank you and john enough for putting together the follow the dakar tour. your thoughtful planning and constant day to day efforts to make the ride a success are appreciated. I had a fantastic trip. the riding was superb and the landscapes were stunningly beautiful, surreal and sometimes otherworldly. the dakar rally was exciting but what made the trip rewarding was the people. I truly enjoyed spending time with you, john, cesar, my new aussie mates and of course, czechmate. "life is not without a passion" is a great marketing slogan but as I discovered it is much more. thanks for sharing and I look forward to another trip in the future. dave |

I and two friends decided to do a motorbike tour in Chile, best way to know and view country. Finding SAMt we were lucky !
They are very efficient, on time, helping us to have a safe and great time in our 14 days trip. The BMW 1200 GS were new and responded very well. If you like to ride motorbikes and plan to go to Chile I recommend SAMt for sure! Joao Coelho SAO Brasil |

My brother and I decided we wanted to go on an trip together in South America. We had been thinking about it for a while, however it came down to the last few weeks before we planned to go and still hadn't confirmed what we were doing! My brother wanted to do a motorcycle trip, and it seemed like it would be a great adventure for us to ride and see the country. After trying a few sites online through out South America we fortunately found contact with SAMt. We wanted a custom ride that would fit our schedule on short notice, (about 3 weeks time!), and would still allow us to have a great adventure seeing lots of sites. SAMt really came through, planning for us an extraordinary trip starting in Santiago, and riding up along the coast, staying in beautiful ocean side hotels and then trekking through the pisco wine valleys. The winding roads alongside the mountains were wonderful and the scenery was breathtaking, we both couldn't have imagined a better time for our first time in Chile and SA! Everyone was so helpful at SAMt and coordinating our trip via email before we arrived was a breeze. The 1200 BMW was a perfect bike for the ride, very comfortable and handles well. Everything was beyond what we expected, and although we didn't have time to fit into one of the larger group tours this time, we will definitely try to get in on a longer trip in the future with them. My brother and I highly recommend SAMt to anyone who loves to ride and wants to have a wonderful experience in South America on a motorbike with great people. We also highly suggest this type of custom tour for siblings, couples, or friends, who want a personal experience and adventure that is as beautiful as it is unforgettable.

I wish to thank you for this incredible and unforgettable adventure of nine days which was an endless feeling of emotions. To tour on a motorcycle, this "World Class" two thousand eight hundred kilometers tour, which included some of the most beautiful roads in the highlands of Bolivia, Chile and Argentina was amazing. Most of my motorcycle experience is riding motocross, so to get on a BMW GS1200 and go for a tour through Chile, Bolivia and Argentina was of course something very different for me and an experience I'll never forget. The diversity of the landscapes and the many personal experiences was very enriching. To find ourselves in the highland trails with people who walk for days to get food is something that I cannot get out of my memory. I think more than a ¨motorcycle tour¨, this was an opportunity to grow as a person and to experience places I never even knew existed !

I really had a great time . What I enjoyed was not only the very good organisation and the route and the place we stayed, I also enjoyed the group we went with. The bikes are a pleasure to ride and the pass over the Andes to Mendoza, especially with the snow, was great.

Nuestro paseo a Mendosa:
Es muy emocionante cruzar la Cordillera de los Andes, en un grupo en Motos, fue increíble la salida de Santiago, el asenso hacia el Túnel que cruza el macizo Andino, y mas adelante llegar a ver lo hermoso que fue el descenso hacia Huspallata, mas adelante el lindo camino hacia Mendosa bordeando el lago, fue genial, las 7 motos la camioneta, son momentos que a todos los que formábamos este grupo no se nos va olvidar jamás La Logística , y la onda impecable cero falta.. siempre todo listo, cualquier problema se solucionaba de inmediato. muy bien pensado , muy bien hecho, genial La bodeguita de Mendosa... uff increíble, había de todo lo que uno podría desear después de horas de viaje en Motos desde Santiago! Todo muy rico muy bien organizado...... el grupo genial.. no sobraba ni faltaba nada!! Las Motos espectaculares la mejor Moto para combinar el pavimento con los caminos de tierras la cuestas la altura, genial la mejor Moto! En particular la oportunidad de compartir con Mi hijo Rafa (19 años), fue muy buena para ambos, aunque pasamos unos minutos de discusión ya que a el le encanta solo correr, y pasar la cuesta hacia los pies del Aconcagua no es necesariamente un camino para correr, pero lo logramos sin ningún problema todos!! La vista panorámica impresionante, que solo puedes dimensionar estando ahí sobre la Moto.. fue muy bueno para todo el grupo! Muchas Gracias John & Gaby Felicitaciones por nuestro viaje: Siempre estaremos dispuestos a acompañarlos en otras aventuras Tienen muy clara las ideas de que hacer y como pasarlo genial, sobre las Motos!! I really enjoyed the Dakar Tour. The combination of seeing the incredible landscape of northern Chile on new bikes, coupled with excellent accommodation and meals, really made this tour one of the best I've been on. The BBQ's on the beach were a nice way to wind down from the ride. It was an experience I will talk about for a long, long time. Thanks again for facilitating an amazing motorcycle trip! From the time I began planning the vacation, to the time we returned the bikes, it was a pleasure to work with you and your team. I especially appreciated your flexibility and willingness to help me create a custom itinerary. When I began the planning process, I knew where I wanted to go but I had so many questions about the logistic the trip-where to stay, what to do at the border, where to get cash, etc. Gabriela was always quick to respond to my questions and provided excellent recommendations based on our interests. A great stage! The first of the Southern Cone and so far one of the most interesting in our project to ride through the Americas ....from one end to the other: Ushuaia - PrudhoeBay. Thanks to the great support provide by SAMt Tours, the 4000km Patagonia Tour experience certainly has been one of our best one when it comes to riding. A large diversity in all senses: landscapes, incredible hotels, local farms and the riding and weather conditions.... wind, gravel, fun roads, the emblematic Route 40, cold, heat, all gave our trip a very special touch.
